BTS Has A History Of Making Memorable Appearances On Late Night Talk Shows

The late night talk show appearances are numerous for BTS. Among the other shows they appeared on include interviews with Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon and perhaps the most memorable alongside James Corden.

The interview with James Corden took a twist when the group discussed the hate the host received from the ARMY (BTS' fanbase) for past comments.

As expected, Corden was quick to apologize. Corden addressed the backlash from BTS fans. “We did two jokes, which I didn’t think were in any way offensive to anybody."

“I hope you know this, we absolutely love you and we love the entire ARMY,” he said. “The prospect of doing anything that may have upset them, I didn’t enjoy that feeling and I hope they know that we would never do that again,” Corden revealed.

Though Corden did admit that the reaction was extreme. "I was like, 'Well, someone's just told me that they hope I die today,' which did feel extreme," said Corden. "It did feel extreme in response to what I thought were two quite harmless jokes, which we never wanted to be at anyone's expense."

Without a doubt, Corden got back on the good side of the ARMY, though it wouldn't be the first time Corden caused some chaos for his actions... It didn't hurt BTS one bit, as the group has enjoyed major success over in the US.

BTS Discussed The Impact Of Their Popularity In The US

Speaking alongside Forbes, BTS talked about conquering America like no K-Pop act in the US history. Monster discussed if conquering the US was a goal, or something that just randomly happened.

"It was actually totally unexpected. I mean, we expected something… We're gaining some attention in the U.S. but we were like, “Could we make the top 10?” We sometimes imagined it, but never thought we could really do it. We wanted to but didn’t actually intend on it. So we still feel lucky."

He continues, "I think we're gaining some attention and getting some fans based in America. It's happening gradually, going up really slow, so I think we could expect more for the future. It's happening, and I hope that it's not just a happy accident. We have to keep up with the work."

Given their success in the US, the group was asked how they planned on building momentum. Monster explained that keeping a cool head was the best way to go about it.

"To capitalize on this, we have to not lose our minds. That's how we capitalize on this. Because we don't want to be so happy for this that we release an English song. Those things are really great, but we have to keep up with what we're doing. Getting ready for our next album. And, of course, we'll be coming back to America, I think more often because we're getting positive attention."

Without a doubt, the group had the right mindset.
